Scottsdale Video Network Program Guide for February 2024

Scottsdale Video Network has released its program guide for February 2024. The network, which telecasts 24/7 on Cox Cable channel 11 and live streams on their website, offers a variety of programs for viewers to enjoy.

One of the highlights of the month is the 2024 MLK Celebration. This event serves as a signature event for the entire valley and features nationally renowned speakers representing a myriad of diversity perspectives honoring the history and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year, the featured speaker is Dr. Battinto L. Batts, Jr., the dean of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Dr. Batts is an award-winning journalist and educator with deep experience in philanthropy and nonprofit administration.

For nature enthusiasts, "Arizona Wildlife Views" is a must-watch program. This Emmy-winning show takes viewers across Arizona to explore the state's great recreational and wildlife opportunities.

Gardening enthusiasts can tune in to "Desert Gardening with Carol Stuttard." Master Gardener Carol Stuttard shares her expertise on the best time of year to plant a vegetable garden and provides tips for creating your own "Black Gold."

History buffs will enjoy "Honoring Preserve Pioneers," a program that tells the story of the establishment of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This program highlights the foresight and vision of the community to permanently protect the McDowell Mountains and Sonoran Desert.

For aviation enthusiasts, "Legends of Airpower" is a must-watch. This award-winning series profiles fifty-two men and women who made America's air power the most respected in the world. The series features exclusive interviews with legends such as Chuck Yeager, Jim Lovell, Buzz Aldrin, and Paul Tibbetts.

Residents looking to become effective neighborhood leaders can benefit from the "Neighborhood College" programs. These programs provide information, resources, and tools needed to excel in neighborhood leadership.

For those interested in Scottsdale's history, "Scottsdale Leadership History Panel" offers a panel discussion with prominent figures involved in significant historical events that have shaped the city.

A significant event to mark on the calendar is the "Scottsdale Memorial for the Fallen Dedication." The memorial, located at Scottsdale City Hall's Memorial Lawn, honors the 66 service members from the Scottsdale area who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their names are permanently engraved on the granite faces of the memorial.

"Scottsdale Stories Rediscovered" delves into fascinating stories about Scottsdale, including the connection between a breakfast cereal and a Scottsdale resort and how a little boy's wish became an international organization.

"Veterans AZ" celebrates veterans across Arizona and highlights their stories and accomplishments. The program features interviews with veterans and organizations that support them.
