On Friday, March 6, at 2 p.m., the Butler Bulldogs—featuring former Snowflake High School standout Maren Berger—were narrowly defeated 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Austin Peay Lady Govs.
The contest was held at Cathi Maynard Park and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Berger pitched 4.1 innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out one batter.
The Bulldogs are set to face the Austin Peay Lady Govs again at Cathi Maynard Park on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m.
