The Butler Bulldogs, featuring former Snowflake High School standout Maren Berger, faced a 5-0 defeat against the UConn Huskies in an NCAA Division I softball matchup held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
Butler Softball Field was the venue for the contest, marking the teams’ second meeting of the season. In their earlier game on Friday, April 10, the Bulldogs fell 16-3 to UConn.
Berger pitched 1.2 innings during the game and struck out one batter.
The Bulldogs are set to play the Huskies again at Butler Softball Field on Sunday, April 12.
