To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Doug Ducey released benchmarks, a reopening plan and safety requirements for the state with Arizona Director of Health Services (ADHS) Cara Christ.

The City of Globe has come to the conclusion that it falls in the "moderate" benchmark, which means it is between 5% and 10% for coronavirus testing positivity rate, according to a press release from the city.

"The City of Globe recommends each business follow ADHS Guidelines that require all industries implement safety protocols and guidelines prescribed by ADHS," the city said in the press release. "You are required to submit an attestation form stating compliance. The attestation form shall be posted in a visible location at each facility. Additional details can be found in the ADHS COVID-19 Guidance for Businesses."

Under the moderate benchmark, gyms can open at 25% capacity; movie theaters and water parks can open with 50% capacity; bars and clubs with food can have 50% capacity.

If bars and clubs do not serve food, they must remain closed for the time being, according to Ducey's benchmarks.

"The City of Globe is in partnership with all of our community businesses, our success is directly related to each of your successes," the city said in the press release. "As we negotiate our re-opening please remain diligent in following safety protocols. We must find a way to return to a sense of normal while this horrible virus remains a constant threat to public safety."
