Remembrance Garden

911

County of Navajo issued the following announcement on Sept. 11.

We see a high school football game in Snowflake, a field of American flags in Pinetop-Lakeside, a memorial garden in Winslow, scheduled memorials across our county… all paying tribute to the tragic day twenty years ago when America was attacked on our home soil.

The tragedy forever changed us, but it did not break us. We came together stronger than ever. In Navajo County, we will never forget.

May be an image of ‎standing and ‎text that says "‎REMEMBRANCE GARDEN THESE TWO STEEL BEAMS FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENT ER ENTRUSTED THE CITIZENS WINSLOW BY THE CITY OF NEW YORK, ALONG WITH THIS FLAG THAT WAS FLOWN THE PENTAGON; STAND AS THE CENTERPIECE OF OUR REMEMBRANCE GARDEN. THE WORDS "UNITED WE STAND" REMIND THE WORLD THAT WE WILL NOT FEAR TERRORISM. WE HEREBY DEDICATE THIS GARDEN TO NORTHERN ARIZONA'S PROMISE THAT "WE WILL NEVER FORGET" ی OF NAVAJO OOLTG ARIZONA‎"‎‎
