Navajo County Government issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
Some of our elected officials gathered to support a fundraiser for our livestock showmanship youth. They tried their hands at showing pigs at the JR Livestock Pavilion and did a great job!
Our JR Livestock Show is a highlight of our county fair: it’s all about our kids! We appreciate the active interest shown by our local leaders. Showing pigs is no easy feat! Cowboy hats off to our showmanship kids who have worked tirelessly to raise, care for, and show their animals at this year’s fair!
And cowboy hats off to our elected officials showing their support and newfound showmanship skills: Chairman Seymore, Recorder (and fair president) Mike Sample, County Manager Glenn Kephart, Treasurer Kari Lopez, Clerk of the Court Deanne Romo, Supervisor Peshlakai, and Assessor Cammy Darris.
