Our December Board of Supervisors Meeting was bursting with recognition!

County of Navajo issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.

Our December Board of Supervisors Meeting was bursting with recognition! We recognized 3 retirements, several longevity spotlights, outstanding employee highlights, and some stellar state champion scholar/athletes!

-We’ll definitely miss the expertise of our three retiring employees. We appreciate their service and dedication more than words can say: Jane Karges - 30+ Years of Service, Diana Serna - 23+ Years of Service, and Brent Turley - 19+ Years of Service.

-Congratulations to the following employees for their continued service to Navajo County (not all were present for photo): Phylicia Bennett (Sheriff) 5 years; Kari Lopez (Treasurer) 5 years; Brian Munsee (Jail Operations) 5 years; Patsy Lee (Facilities Management) 5 years; Valeria Aguilera (Clerk of the Court) 5 years; Suzanne Heninger (Public Defender) 5 years; James Pike (County Attorney) 5 years; Amber Ferguson (Administration) 10 years; Bryan Cook (Public Works) 10 years; Clifton Foster (Information Technology) 10 years; Kyle Esparza (Sheriff) 10 years; Charlotte Yazzie (Probation) 10 years; Jane Karges (Public Defender) 10 years; Mercy Beach (County Attorney) 15 years; Joel Johnston (Facilities Management) 20 years; Theresa Logg (Clerk of the Court) 30 years; and George Amador (Public Works) 30 years.

 Outstanding Employees! We Recognized the following employees for their excellence in personal performance far exceeding organization expectations Jerry Young (Facilities Management), Austin Gardner (IT), Kathryn Downing (Assessor) and Maria Beltran-Cardone (Health District).

-We highlighted Mogollon Mustangs on their football 1A state championship and Snowflake Lobos on their two time 3A state football state championship! Well done, athletes! Keep pursuing excellence!
