Attention young artists - enter NPC’s 2022 annual Juried High School Art Exhibit

How to organize an art exhibit 886x500

Northland Pioneer College issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.

All high-school-aged students from Navajo and Apache counties, including homeschoolers, are eligible to submit original two- and three-dimensional art or graphic designs for the 36th Annual Juried High School Exhibit, sponsored by Northland Pioneer College (NPC).

The high school exhibit will be featured virtually on NPC’s Talon Gallery webpage from April 1 – 30, 2022. “It is an honor to have one’s work chosen for exhibit in a juried show like this,” states Art Faculty and Talon Gallery Director Magda Gluszek. Artwork will be judged for Best of Show, 1st through 3rd place, and honorable mention. Best of Show winners will be offered one-year (up to 15 credit hours), art tuition scholarships to NPC, and must be in their senior year of high school. Students need not be art majors to accept tuition scholarships but will be required to take one art class per semester to maintain the scholarship award.

Artwork in any media is eligible. “Entries are not limited to class assignments, and students do not have to be enrolled in art or photography classes to submit entries,” states Gluszek. NPC Art Faculty will judge the entries, and selections will be based on creativity, originality, craftsmanship, and quality.

Entries must be emailed to magda.gluszek@npc.edu by March 1, 2022, 11:59 PM, MST. A short video outlining tips and tricks for photographing and submitting your artwork can be found at www.youtube.com/watch?v=q40if1ecyB0.

Contact Art Faculty and Gallery Director Magda Gluszek, toll-free (800) 266-7845, ext. 6176 or email magda.gluszek@npc.edu for more information on NPC’s annual High School Juried Art Exhibit.
