Navajo County Government issued the following announcement on Mar. 11.
Notice for our residents in the I-40 area.
Eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 are closed in Winslow, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The closure is due to a disabled vehicle at milepost 255, which is near State Route 87.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and seek an alternative route. There is no estimated time to reopen the eastbound lanes. Westbound lanes are open.
