The Navajo County Board of Supervisors joins with the Navajo Nation in honoring and remembering Purple Heart veteran Dan Y. Begay of Forest Lake, AZ who recently passed away.
His inspiring life of service extended beyond his military service to include his serving as a community leader and social services worker. His life is a message of dedication to home and community -a life to be proud of. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of reflection and mourning.
May we all be inspired by the life of Dan Y. Nez and strive to live in pursuit of making our nation, community, and world a better place.
