Navajo County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with a local business, Novo Power, to be more effective and efficient in our behind the scene process of evidence destruction. Mr. Brad Worsley, CEO/President of Novo Power, has allowed our evidence technicians to utilize his facility to destroy evidence using the boiler that reaches in excess of 1500 degrees. Evidence is only destroyed following the adjudication of criminal cases. Prior to the evidence being destroyed, all appeals processes must be completed and must be approved by the County Attorney’s Office. Using the opportunity at Novo Power will reduce the evidence technician's time spent in the destruction process by 50-60 percent.
“My Office is constantly looking for ways to be innovative, efficient, and effective in our procedures. I appreciate Mr. Worsley for entering this partnership with us.” Stated Sheriff Clouse.
