Census Bureau: More women than men in Apache County in 2020

Of the 71,714 people living in Apache County in 2020, 50.7 percent (36,326) were women and 49.3 percent (35,388) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Arizona News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 204. In the 65 and over age range, there were 6,051 females and 5,040 males.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
