We recently honored our Public Works Director, John Osgood, as he retires from working for over 35 years in public service. John spent the last 4.5 years with us in Navajo County, sharing his expertise, good nature, and wisdom. His commitment to finding solutions and supporting leaders inspired everyone he worked with. He’s consistent, focused, and dedicated.
Chairwoman Whitesinger placed a Pendleton blanket on him, a gift from the Board of Supervisors as a token of protection, comfort, and security in retirement. She commented, “I’m so grateful to be a friend of John Osgood.” County Manager Glenn Kephart added, “It has been an honor and a privilege to work along side you. We are so grateful you chose to join Navajo County.”
Osgood is a recent recipient of the Gabe Zimmerman award, and it’s easy to see why. John leaves people and projects better than when he found them, and we are as grateful as we are inspired. Thank you, John!
