10.5% of Navajo County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Navajo County recorded an unemployment rate of 10.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,978 people out of the 106,609 living in Navajo County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Navajo County has decreased compared to the 11% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Navajo County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.6%.

Of the 33,962 people who had a job during that time, 24 were employed in the Armed Forces and 33,938 belonged to the civilian labor force.
