There were 3,134 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Chinle Unified District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Chinle Unified District welcomed 3,162 students during the 2022-23 school year, all of whom identified as American Indian or Alaskan Native.

Chinle Unified District roughly covers schools within Apache County and has a main office in Chinle.

Among the seven schools in Chinle Unified District, Chinle High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian or Alaskan Native students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 911 students.
