There were 35 Pacific Islander students enrolled in Navajo County schools in the 2022-23 school year, a 12.9% increase over from the 31 Pacific Islander students in the previous school year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Navajo County welcomed 17,416 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students made up 0.2% of the student body making them the least represented ethnicity in the county.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students' school performance.
