There were 82 Asian students enrolled in Navajo County schools in the 2023-24 school year, a 5.1% increase over the 78 Asian students in the previous school year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Navajo County welcomed 16,973 students at the time. Among them, Asian students made up 0.5% of the student body making them the third least represented ethnicity in the county.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students' school performance.
