The White Mountain Wildfire Preparedness Expo is set to take place on March 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Administration Room in Lakeside, Arizona. The event aims to prepare the community for the upcoming wildfire season with a series of interactive activities and demonstrations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about creating ignition-resistant homes, maintaining defensible space around properties, and incorporating fire-resistant landscaping into their yards. The expo will also provide guidance on assembling emergency supplies and documents, with starter kits available while supplies last.

The event emphasizes the importance of communication plans by offering advice on building solid strategies and signing up for early warning systems. Additionally, there will be tips on disaster planning for pets and instructions on identifying evacuation routes.

"This Expo is a collaborative effort by Navajo County, local public safety agencies, federal and state forestry officials," stated an announcement regarding the event's organization. Among its supporters is Navajo County Supervisor Dawnafe Whitesinger from District V.
