CITY OF SCOTTSDALE: Scottsdale traffic restrictions July 9 - 18

City of Scottsdale issued the following announcement on July 8.

Following are significant road construction projects and traffic restrictions occurring in Scottsdale July 9 - 18. For more information, contact Traffic Engineering at 480-312-7250.

Loop 101 improvement project

The Arizona Department of Transportation is widening and improving Loop 101 from Interstate 17 in Phoenix to Pima Road in Scottsdale. To learn more about the project and upcoming traffic restrictions, please visit ADOT’s project webpagelinks to external site, where you can also subscribe to project alerts. Following are current and upcoming restrictions:

  • Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed from Scottsdale Road to Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday, July 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 12. Detour on Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thompson Peak Parkway to Pima Road/Princess Drive.

Lane restrictions near Via Linda and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard

Multiple lane restrictions will occur on or near Via Linda from Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard to Shea Boulevard 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, July 16, for utility work.

Westbound Camelback Road restricted near 75th Street (new)

The westbound curb lane on Camelback Road will be closed from 75th Street to immediately east of Scottsdale Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Monday, July 12, for manhole work. 

Thomas Road restricted between Hayden Road and 78th Street

Thomas Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Hayden Road and 78th Street June 28 - July 14 for road improvements.

Northbound Scottsdale Road restricted north of McDowell Road (new)

Northbound Scottsdale Road will be reduced to one lane immediately north of McDowell Road 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays July 9 - 23 for road work.

McDowell Road restricted between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road

McDowell Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between 64th Street and Scottsdale Road June 9 - Aug. 31 for road work.
