The "Mesa Fire" is a lightning-caused fire 14.5 miles to the west and is producing smoke visible from the western side of Heber-Overgaard. Black Mesa resources are on the fire and they are going to take advantage of the weather, location, and terrain, and have identified a larger area to allow the fire to progress. Smoke will be visible for several days, possibly up to a week, and at times may be heavy. There is no current impact to Heber-Overgaard.
