There were 456 students enrolled in Joseph City Unified District schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 456 students enrolled in Joseph City Unified District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.5% less than the 463 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.2% of them were girls, and 45.8% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 56.8% of the Joseph City Unified District total enrollment.

Joseph City Unified District roughly covers schools within Navajo County and has a main office in Joseph City.

Among the three schools in Joseph City Unified District, Joseph City Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 203 students in the 2022-23 school year.

WalletHub claimed Arizona’s school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors’ credentials.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.
